Operations Lead for Lending

The Lending Operations division is an integral part of the dynamic Operations department, overseeing all aspects of loan processing at Raisin Bank. This includes key functions such as fronting, factoring, and refactoring. The team is tasked with managing the acquisition and resale of receivables, as well as performing critical checks on collateral, developing loan templates, acquiring credit reports, and generating comprehensive reports.
As the prospective Head of Lending Operations, you will be responsible for both the technical and personnel management of the team. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving optimal outcomes, streamlining processes, and fostering the continuous growth of the team. Your focus will be on cultivating team spirit, enhancing employee development, and pursuing ongoing process improvements.

With your expertise in the credit sector, you will implement effective onboarding processes for new partners and products. Additionally, you will confidently engage in communication and correspondence with partners in the fronting and factoring sectors, as well as in discussions with internal and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a growing team of currently 8 members.
- Serve as the primary contact for the Lending Operations team, both in a professional and disciplinary capacity.
- Enhance process flows, automation, and IT solutions for your team.
- Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and collaborate closely with the Head of Lending and the Head of Credit Risk Management & Governance.
- Encourage open communication and foster a culture of trust.
- Establish efficient onboarding processes for new partners in collaboration with other departments, ensuring thorough process documentation.
- Actively contribute to the launch of new products.
- Completed relevant academic qualifications.
- Several years of experience in the banking or finance sector, preferably in back office roles related to credit.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing credit processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively with team members, including management experience.
- Proficient in IT, particularly with MS Office applications.
- Analytical mindset with a solid grasp of numerical data.
- Demonstrated teamwork, adaptability, and strong communication abilities.
- Proficient in both written and spoken German, with good English language skills.
