Head of Technical Procurement and Project Management

Position Overview:
The Head of Technical Procurement and Project Management is responsible for guiding a worldwide team in an agile manner, ensuring collaboration across various vertical leaders, category teams, and directly with value streams. The primary goal is to guarantee that projects requiring procurement input are delivered within scope, budget, and timeline.
The project scope generally encompasses one of the following categories:
1. Transitions: Adjustments in supplier relationships or conditions driven by the necessity to:
relocate production from one internal site to another outsource production to external suppliers insource from external suppliers to internal facilities transfer production between external suppliers2. Additions: Often associated with new product launches, which may involve:
Early engagement in product design for in-house manufacturing and collaborating with category teams to establish the materials and supply base for new products Involvement in make-or-buy decisions and sourcing finished goods to enhance our product portfolio3. Modifications: Commonly referred to as sustaining engineering, this involves supporting value streams and regulatory bodies to enhance design and functionality while managing part availability through alternative sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains a consistent approach for executing Technical Procurement Project Management (TPPM) globally, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and trained as necessary. Establishes a centralized database for TPPM materials and project documentation. Leads a flexible team of up to 10 senior technical project procurement managers across various products and value streams. Collaborates with category management to create a straightforward business partnership program with value streams. Designs and implements a structured project intake process to optimize resource utilization for successful project delivery. Works with the PMO to set project scopes and priorities, continuously tracking progress. Partners with category management and supplier engineering teams to assess supply base impacts for each initiative. Coordinates with regional sourcing hubs to manage RFX processes aligned with category strategies. Engages with category management and value streams to ensure commercial protections are in place as production scales. Ensures the team is adequately staffed, skilled, and motivated, managing project plans in line with budget cycles. Upholds compliance with company policies and regulations.Qualifications:
At least 8 years of experience in managerial roles within Procurement or Technical Project Management. International experience, ideally having worked across multiple continents. Ability to quickly understand the technical and manufacturing aspects of FMC products and related techniques. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop and review business plans and cases. Effective team player and leader, capable of coaching and demonstrating task execution. Agile in work methods, serving as a role model in both technical and leadership capabilities. Skilled in managing communications and requests effectively. Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire teams to achieve a compelling vision. Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with senior executives. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Confident in navigating ambiguity and making decisions without complete information. Exceptional coaching abilities. Advanced project management skills to oversee a seamless portfolio of activities, including risk management. Strong negotiation and relationship management capabilities. Proficient in MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and MS Project. Experience with Excel tools such as pivot tables is advantageous. Familiarity with Business Objects/Tableau is a plus. Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
