Overview

Farmie, a pioneer in plug & play hydroponic vertical farming solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Agronomist with a focus on horticulture and sustainable farming solutions to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented individual to support our daily farming operations, including seedling production, plant health monitoring, and harvesting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agronomy, botany, or a related field, with a keen interest in vertical farming and a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily farming operations, including seedling production, plant health monitoring, and harvesting.
  • Engage in continuous research and testing to optimize plant combinations for maximum yield, quality, and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and clients to provide updates, gather feedback, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to develop and refine new farming solutions.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a degree program related to agronomy, botany, horticulture, or a similar field, with a strong preference for candidates whose curriculum requires the completion of an internship.
  • A keen interest or academic involvement in vertical farming.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
