Sales Operations and Strategy Lead

Role Objective We are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Operations and Strategy Lead to join our Sales Strategy and Operations team. This crucial role will deliver vital business insights, promote alignment across various functions, and lead strategic initiatives aimed at advancing our sales goals. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing new business processes, collaborating with a dedicated team of engineers, analysts, and sales operations experts to enhance our sales functions and contribute to our mission of transforming customer support in the scientific sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Commercial Leadership Team to shape and execute the organization’s commercial operations and sales strategies, taking ownership of key initiatives. Define the vertical's strategic agenda, pinpointing opportunities to enhance sales team productivity and effectiveness while promoting best practices across teams. Engage with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Legal teams to introduce new products and business models within the vertical. Establish metrics and key performance indicators that align with the vertical's sales objectives, including quota achievement, average order value, quarterly revenue, retention rates, and other measurable outcomes. Develop and continuously refine tools for customer management, internal communication, information access, business processes, and sales materials, while training our sales team for optimal use. Assess the performance of the aforementioned tasks and adjust the operational plan as necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience with CRM systems, preferably Sales Cloud and Salesforce CPQ. A creative mindset paired with robust technical skills. In-depth knowledge of the sales operations field and a comprehensive understanding of the sales and delivery funnel. Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills. A natural curiosity to enhance processes and develop intelligent solutions. Excellent communication and project management abilities, proficient in collaboration tools such as JIRA or Confluence. Must demonstrate a collaborative spirit, agility, and the ability to work iteratively within a team. A positive and adaptable attitude, capable of navigating complex, fast-paced environments. Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively are essential.
