Sales Operations and Strategy Lead

Role Objective We are seeking a proactive Sales Operations and Strategy Lead to join our Sales Strategy and Operations team. This crucial role will deliver vital business insights, ensure alignment across various functions, and lead strategic initiatives aimed at advancing our sales goals. You will design and implement innovative business processes, collaborating with a dedicated team of engineers, analysts, and sales operations professionals to refine our sales operations and contribute to our mission of transforming customer support within the scientific community.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Commercial Leadership Team to formulate and execute the organization's commercial operations and sales strategies, including independently managing key initiatives. Establish the vertical's agenda by identifying opportunities to enhance sales team efficiency and effectiveness, while leading efforts to disseminate best practices across teams. Partner with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Legal teams to introduce new products and business models within the vertical. Develop metrics and key performance indicators that focus the vertical's sales efforts, including quota achievement, average order value, quarterly revenue, retention rates, and other measurable outcomes. Implement and continuously improve the necessary tools for customer management, internal communication, access to information, business processes, and sales materials, while training our sales team to utilize them effectively. Assess the performance of the aforementioned tasks and adjust the operations plan as required.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience with CRM platforms, preferably Sales Cloud and Salesforce CPQ. An innovative mindset paired with strong technical capabilities. Comprehensive understanding of the sales operations landscape and a solid grasp of the sales and delivery funnel. Exceptional attention to detail, with strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills. A natural curiosity to enhance processes, maintain an organized workspace, and develop intelligent solutions. Strong communication and project management abilities, proficient in collaboration tools such as JIRA or Confluence. Must be a collaborative, agile team player who can work iteratively. Adaptable and positive attitude, with the ability to find solutions in a complex, fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills and the capacity to multitask effectively are essential. Experience in a subscription-based business model is preferred.
