At Amazon Heidenheim GmbH, the safety and health of our workforce is paramount. As a Senior HSE Specialist, you will be instrumental in fostering a secure work environment.

Your role will involve actively safeguarding the health and safety of all personnel at your site, instilling confidence and encouraging excellence among employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing critical elements such as workforce management, performance metrics, operational goals, and enhancements to processes
  • Ensuring workplace safety and employee contentment at your location, which includes monitoring the health and productivity of staff
  • Collaborating proactively on Health & Safety initiatives across all operational areas
  • Conducting reviews and audits of health and safety protocols, consistently refining them as needed
  • Strategizing and implementing measures to mitigate risks by suggesting appropriate modifications to equipment and workflows
  • Establishing comprehensive reporting mechanisms for health and safety data
  • Providing management with relevant information and statistics within your scope of responsibility
  • Facilitating business transitions through effective change management in a dynamic environment
  • Executing safety culture initiatives in a large, multifaceted operation with multiple shifts
  • Upholding and evaluating Amazon's global safety standards, ensuring adherence to local regulatory requirements
A Day in the Life:

Your work will take place on-site at a logistics facility, where you will meticulously assess operational processes. You will monitor adherence to occupational safety regulations, identifying potential challenges and areas for enhancement. Collaborating with employees across various departments, you will gain insights into their risks. You will collect data to promote smarter and safer work practices. Furthermore, you will design training programs and other initiatives to educate staff on new safety protocols.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification as a "Safety Specialist"
  • Knowledge of German environmental and occupational safety regulations
  • Proficient in both German and English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies
  • Capability to plan or lead environmental projects
  • Experience in leading teams
