Your Role

As a Platform Engineer, you will work closely with diverse teams to tackle technical challenges in our software systems. Your focus will be on refining our internal developer platform, allowing your colleagues to concentrate on solving critical business issues. Your success will be measured through DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment) metrics.

Our tech stack includes:

  • Google Cloud Platform (CloudRun, CloudSQL, etc.)
  • Terraform / Terramate
  • Datadog
  • GitHub Actions
  • Programming languages: Python, GoLang, TypeScript
Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Developing reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules to empower developer self-service
  • Creating software solutions and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications effectively
  • Providing operational support and infrastructure knowledge to engineering teams
  • Enhancing developer experience and productivity
  • Improving DORA metrics to gauge performance
Your Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability, or a related Cloud Engineering role
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, particularly with Terraform
  • Experience with public cloud services, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Strong understanding of containerized environments (Docker, Google Cloud Run, Kubernetes)
  • Programming skills in languages such as Python, GoLang, or TypeScript
  • A proactive mindset for identifying issues and areas for enhancement
  • A customer-focused approach to improving developer experiences
  • Proficiency in English, with German as a plus
  • Residency in Germany
  • Interest in the climate technology sector
