Your RoleAs a Platform Engineer, you will work alongside diverse teams dedicated to developing innovative software systems in two key areas:
- Virtual Power Plant: Enhancing our energy management system, 'Heartbeat', and refining the customer experience application.
- Operational Systems for Installers: Streamlining processes and operations from initial groundwork to final installations.
Your primary focus will be to tackle technical challenges, enhance our internal developer platform, and reduce cognitive load for your colleagues, allowing them to concentrate on critical business solutions. Success will be measured using DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment) metrics.

- Facilitate developer self-service by creating reusable, opinionated Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules.
- Design and implement software solutions to manage the platform's infrastructure and applications effectively.
- Provide operational support and infrastructure expertise to engineering teams.
- Enhance developer experience and productivity.
- Improve DORA metrics to track and enhance performance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Platform Engineering (DevOps), Site Reliability, or a related Cloud Engineering role.
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, particularly with Terraform.
- Experience with public cloud providers, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and a solid grasp of its core services.
- Strong background in container-based infrastructure (Docker, Google Cloud Run, Kubernetes).
- Proficient in one or more high-level programming languages such as Python, GoLang, or TypeScript.
- Proactive in identifying issues, areas for enhancement, and performance bottlenecks.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to fostering exceptional developer experiences.
- Fluent in English, with German language skills considered a plus.
- Residing in Germany.
- Interest in the climate technology sector.
