Your Role

As a Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our technology team, collaborating with diverse groups to tackle technical challenges and optimize our internal developer platform. Your efforts will help reduce cognitive load for your colleagues, allowing them to concentrate on addressing business needs. Success will be measured through DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment) metrics.

  • Google Cloud Platform (CloudRun, CloudSQL, etc.)
  • Terraform / Terramate
  • Datadog
  • GitHub Actions
  • Programming languages: Python, GoLang, TypeScript
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate developer self-service by creating reusable, opinionated Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules.
  • Develop software solutions and establish systems for managing the platform's infrastructure and applications.
  • Provide operational support and infrastructure expertise to engineering teams.
  • Enhance developer experience and productivity.
  • Improve DORA metrics to track performance.
Your Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Platform Engineering (DevOps), Site Reliability, or a related Cloud Engineering role.
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, particularly with Terraform.
  • Experience with public cloud providers, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and a solid grasp of its core services.
  • Hands-on experience with containerized infrastructure (Docker, Google Cloud Run, Kubernetes).
  • Proficient in one or more high-level programming languages such as Python, GoLang, or TypeScript.
  • Proactive in identifying issues, areas for enhancement, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Strong customer-centric approach with an emphasis on delivering exceptional developer experiences.
  • Fluent in English, with German as a plus.
  • Residency in Germany is required.
  • Interest in the climate technology sector.
