Renewable Fuels Innovation Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the commercial elements of pilot, demonstration, and deployment initiatives.
  • Identify and manage strategic partnerships with technology suppliers and off-takers.
  • Develop viable projects in Renewable Molecules (such as SAF, methanol, and syngas production) and Carbon Management (including Carbon Capture and Biochar).
  • Innovate and test execution and financing models (e.g., Joint Ventures) for scaling and rollout, while crafting comprehensive business plans.
  • Lead large, cross-functional project teams.
  • Collaborate with various Uniper functions at all management levels, including Sales, Trading, Engineering, Market Analytics, and Strategy.
  • Represent innovation initiatives both internally and externally.
  • Act as a champion for innovation and transformation.

Candidate Profile

  • Master’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or related STEM fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in biofuels, aviation fuels, maritime fuels, chemicals, or carbon capture, preferably with a background in business development, sales, or project management.
  • Strong analytical, business, regulatory, and strategic skills to assess and develop business opportunities effectively.
  • Proven experience in establishing and executing commercial contracts, products, and services.
  • Leadership capabilities and the ability to thrive in interdisciplinary and complex environments.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to organize work across functional teams at all levels of hierarchy.
  • Capacity to perform under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
