About the Position

Overview

The Project Director will be responsible for managing large-scale EPC projects in the HVDC business, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for managing large EPC projects, including cost, time, functionality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting to the responsible Business Manager, managing the overall project comprising of packages ranging from HV equipment, machinery equipment to civil and installation packages, throughout all the phases from design, construction, manufacturing, installation to commissioning.
  • Developing and implementing risk, opportunity, and issue management strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
  • Negotiating with stakeholders on change requests and incorporating them into contracts, as well as managing contract and claim management.
  • Ensuring efficient communication with all relevant stakeholders and targeted communication within the project team.
  • Establishing a framework to ensure regular checks of compliance in the project.

Requirements

  • University degree in electrical engineering.
  • Long-term experience in project management and tools, as well as experience in transmission and complex EPC business.
  • Leadership experience, including personnel management, development, and team motivation.
  • Track record of knowledge of economics in project business.
  • Proven EHS leadership and advanced knowledge of compliance regulations.
  • Expert knowledge of internal and international rules and regulations relevant for project management, supply chain management, asset management, and global procurement.
  • Business fluent English and German skills, as well as an expectation of extensive travel.
