Position Overview
This role offers a sales professional the chance to join our Instrument Enterprise Services division (IES) at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
The position combines in-depth scientific knowledge, teamwork, and extensive resources to provide essential services for chromatography and molecular scientific equipment, enabling our customers to achieve their scientific objectives efficiently and safely. Our service solutions allow customers to concentrate on what truly matters – delivering innovations that enhance and save lives. This is a remote position.
Travel: up to 20% overnight

The Account Executive (m/f/d) Inside Sales is tasked with selling service contracts for a designated product line. In this pivotal sales role, you will aim to surpass sales targets for our service offerings by negotiating contracts with end-users, key decision-makers, and procurement teams. You will work closely with cross-divisional and channel distribution partners, product and application specialists, customer experience, and business development teams to drive sales.

Responsibilities: Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales objectives within the assigned territory Identify, cultivate, and close significant sales opportunities Recognize customer solutions that span multiple business sectors and collaborate effectively to execute the sales strategy Support cross-functional customer planning sessions and business reviews for various service solutions Develop, implement, and maintain account-specific strategies to drive growth opportunities Utilize technology to accurately forecast sales pipeline Serve as a country/regional (Germany) Account Executive for strategic customers to maintain and expand business Promote new products by applying value propositions and establishing key customer relationships Implement central messaging and sales strategies for a broader target audience with comprehensive knowledge of our service products Train and support divisional sales partners to effectively sell services at points of sale Act as a resource for others in determining the best course of action in compliance with quality processes and business regulations Monitor driven activity and industry trends to create competitive solutions Submit accurate forecasts, weekly reports, monthly highlights, and maintain data integrity within CRM systems Maintain focus and continually strive to enhance contract penetration coverage of the instrument install base Key Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, or equivalent education or experience Five years of sales experience is strongly preferred Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a business environment Demonstrated experience in creating and executing sales and/or field marketing plans Native German speaker Proficiency in English is preferred Success in territory management with a focus on developing long-term relationships Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.) Solid understanding of the assigned product portfolio and corresponding technical knowledge of instruments (CMD, RSD, or LPD) Familiarity with industries such as biotech, clinical, pharmaceutical, academic/medical research, environmental, food, forensics, and petrochemical Proficiency with sales software What We Offer: Employment with an innovative, forward-thinking organization Excellent career and development opportunities Company pension scheme and additional benefits A dynamic company culture that values integrity, intensity, involvement, and innovation Opportunities to actively contribute to improvements as part of our environmental management system, enhancing sustainability in the workplace and our products.
