Senior Procurement Manager for Packaging Solutions

Position Overview:

The Senior Procurement Manager for Packaging Solutions will play a crucial role in shaping the procurement strategies related to plastics, ensuring that commercial objectives are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored for packaging materials.
  • Establish and maintain a robust supplier network.
  • Oversee the tendering process, including negotiations and procurement activities.
  • Regularly review and standardize contractual agreements.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends and pricing dynamics.
  • Manage the bidding process from initial negotiations to final contract execution.
  • Explore and apply innovative, sustainable solutions in procurement practices.
  • Perform supplier audits and collaborate with quality management for annual evaluations.
  • Align and optimize the supplier portfolio strategically.
  • Provide guidance to various departments on procurement protocols and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in business or engineering is required.
  • Extensive experience in a similar position, ideally within an international context.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, including SAP Ariba, and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel and possess strong intercultural communication skills.
  • Fluency in both German and English; additional languages are advantageous.
