Role Overview

HERE Technologies is seeking a Principal Technical Support Engineer - Technical Project Manager, tasked with ensuring the effective delivery, adoption, and sustained engagement of HERE's technological solutions for clients. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing customer relationships over time.
The focus will be on pivotal and strategic accounts within the Automotive sector, leveraging HERE's products and services.

Engage with stakeholders and manage cross-functional teams to facilitate complex, strategic, and large-scale customer projects (large Automotive OEM) while ensuring successful delivery (product launches, projects). Coordinate deliveries throughout the engagement lifecycle by defining and executing essential release management and quality assurance activities, including error and release management. Systematically address issues by collaborating across teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on critical matters, providing timely executive visibility and reporting, and incorporating lessons learned into actionable follow-up plans. Undertake technical consulting assignments for clients. Collaborate with sales teams to complete RFQs and translate customer needs into requirements, products, and solutions. Offer direct technical expertise across one or multiple domains of knowledge. Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers, ensuring their requirements are comprehended across internal divisions. Relay feedback to Sales, Product Marketing, and Product Management regarding current and future product needs (acting as the voice of the Customer). Travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally, to engage with customers and suppliers as necessary, including frequent visits to major clients.

Candidate Profile

This position demands a high level of proficiency in proactive technical support and project management, along with leadership and commercial insight, as well as most of the following qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

• Over 9 years of relevant technical experience, including at least 2 years in technical project management, customer support, consulting, or similar client-facing roles.

• Practical experience in software development and troubleshooting issues reported by clients.

• Strong project management capabilities involving large cross-functional teams; PMI PMP certification (or equivalent) is advantageous.

• Exceptional consultative, advisory, and organizational skills with a knack for proactive technical support and problem-solving.

• A robust sense of ownership of customer accounts, ensuring a trusted partnership is cultivated.

• Solid understanding of Automotive infotainment, ADAS, in-vehicle, and cloud solutions.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence individuals outside of one's own managerial structure and a proven track record of effective cross-functional stakeholder management and collaboration.

• Proficiency in the German language is a plus.
