Mechanical Design Engineer for SIHI Dry/Boost Systems

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our R&D team at Flowserve, responsible for the design and maintenance of SIHI dry and boost systems. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in the development of new products and the improvement of existing ones, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new SIHI dry and boost systems, adhering to established guidelines and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless order engineering and technical support for standard products.
- Conduct and evaluate calculations for optimal component design, working closely with GTEC.
- Coordinate quality notifications for drawings, master data, and BOMs.
- Apply design engineering principles for standardized modules, configurability, and design in line with functional and production requirements.
- Perform FMEA's and risk assessments for designed products.
- Prepare and review documentation for standard products, including accessories, material master data, parts lists, 3D models, and 2D drawings, in collaboration with GTEC.
- Develop documentation for designed standard systems, including operating instructions and service instructions, in cooperation with GTEC.
- Cross-departmental problem-solving, addressing quality issues.
- Execute further product engineering tasks and projects according to product management specifications, coordinating GTEC resources.
- Drive product standardization and rationalization in line with the operating model and development priorities.
- Create work instructions, quality plans, technical specifications, and supply chain support.
Your Profile:
- Completed university degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable field.
- Several years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, preferably with ERP, PLM, and CAD knowledge.
- Familiarity with FEM simulations and MS-Office applications.
- Strong team player with high personal responsibility, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in English and German.
