Role Overview:
Flowserve is seeking a dedicated Supervisor of Electrical & Automation to enhance our R&D team focused on PE Vacuum SIHI dry & boost products.
In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in the design and development of software/firmware and electrical hardware for our innovative SIHI dry and Boost offerings. You will report directly to the engineering manager of MHV.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and nurture a global team dedicated to automation and electrical projects.
- Drive product development and coordinate future software/firmware initiatives for SIHI dry & boost control technology in collaboration with the product manager and engineering manager.
- Lead the electrical design and qualification processes for components integral to product development.
- Develop project-related documentation, including service manuals, training guides, and operational instructions.
- Provide support for various operational functions, including order engineering, commercial operations, quality assurance, supply chain management, production, assembly, and service.
- Implement international standards and regulations in electrical and software development processes.
- Conduct design FMEAs and risk assessments.
Candidate Profile:
- A degree in electronics, automation technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing PLC controls using Codesys, microcontroller solutions, and fieldbus topologies.
- Proficient in creating wiring diagrams and utilizing E-plan.
- Strong knowledge of drive technology, including soft starters and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Familiarity with MS Office and SAP applications.
- Proficient in both German and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, personal accountability, and effective communication skills.
- Experience coordinating development projects across teams and external partners.
- A proactive and open-minded approach, with a passion for innovation and design.
