About Your Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at DESY, a leading international research center in Hamburg, Germany. As a Postdoctoral Researcher in Plasma Accelerator Science, you will be part of our team working on the development of beam-driven plasma accelerators.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing novel plasma accelerator concepts
  • Designing and operating experiments on the FLASHForward beamline
  • Collaborating with our team to advance the field of plasma accelerator science

You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and international environment, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and a strong network of collaborators.

About You:

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual with a strong background in plasma physics and accelerator science. You should have a PhD in physics or a related field, with a focus on plasmas, plasma wakefield accelerators, and accelerator physics.

Experience with particle in cell simulations, plasma sources and metrology, or particle accelerators and associated diagnostics is highly desirable. You should also have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
