Position Overview:
We are seeking a part-time Postdoctoral Scientist specializing in low-level radio frequency (RF) systems design and operation.

The Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) is a premier research institution with over 3000 employees, dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge from fundamental particles to the building blocks of life. Our state-of-the-art facilities foster a collaborative environment for innovative research.

Role Responsibilities:
- Lead research initiatives focused on cutting-edge resonance control of superconducting cavities, including detuning computation and noise cancellation.
- Supervise one postdoctoral researcher and one to two PhD candidates in related research areas.
- Organize and plan LLRF testing activities at designated facilities.
- Present findings at progress review meetings and international conferences.
- Oversee the integration of new research outcomes into existing LLRF systems, including necessary software and firmware updates.

Qualifications:
- A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- A PhD and/or extensive experience in accelerator research environments.
- Proven expertise in low-level RF systems, including design and operational aspects.
- Strong background in control systems and feedback optimization.
- Excellent proficiency in English is essential.
