We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Grid Code Compliance Engineer to join our team at Nordex Group.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a global team of Grid Code Test Engineers, ensuring Grid Code compliance for Wind Farm projects, and performing, evaluating, and documenting Grid Code compliance tests and analyzing test data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a global team of Grid Code Test Engineers, providing functional and disciplinary leadership.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Nordex products and their capabilities to ensure Grid Code compliance.
  • Optimize Grid Code compliance processes and review internal product specifications for Grid Code compliance.
  • Collaborate with clients' experts to elaborate project-specific testing and solutions.
  • Gain experience in windfarm controller projects and contribute to the development of Grid Code testing procedures.

Requirements

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent technical education.
  • First experience in leading a team of engineers, with experience in Grid Code Testing with Wind Farm projects and test cases in Grid Code Testing Procedures.
  • Good knowledge of Grid Code compliance on power plant level and software details.
  • Experience with data analysis, tools, and automation is valuable.
  • Intercultural understanding and ability to work collaboratively with teams across functions and geographies.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written; Spanish and/or German is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, planning, and organizational skills, with a proactive, assertive, and team-player attitude.
  • Willingness to go on business trips (5-10%).
