Demand Planning Lead

In this role, you will lead the demand planning process for our Cluster, working closely with the Market organization to ensure forecast accuracy and alignment with business targets. You will be responsible for leading a team of Demand Planners, developing their skills, and ensuring seamless collaboration with the Commercial team.
Key Responsibilities• Lead the demand planning review and sign-off process, ensuring key assumptions and building blocks are in place to drive changes month on month.
• Ensure timely completion of demand planning review processes, facilitating collaboration among multifunctional teams and contributing to their defined roles.
• Develop and lead Demand Planners within the Cluster, fostering leadership skills and collaboration with the Commercial team.
• Oversee the monthly governance process to monitor progress and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure systems and processes align with global demand planning standards.
• Drive the smooth rollout of SAP IBP and related processes across the Cluster and related Markets.
• Utilize experience with demand forecasting platforms (SAP IBP) and other planning systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in planning processes.
• Align the strategic roadmap with key stakeholders across functions, hierarchy, and business areas.
• Address demand-planning process-related issues, such as fragmented forecasting approaches or difficulties in acquiring information from siloed teams.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of category trends, brands' market share, and stock-in-trade visibility to leverage forecast capabilities.
• Support the hiring, training, and onboarding of new demand planning coordinators within the Cluster.
• Enable process design through technology and analytics.
• Track KPIs and benefits into the business.
• Ensure actions to improve demand-planning performance are in place and track progress.
• Demonstrate sound business decision-making aligned with company goals.
This role requires the following experience (preferably from the Consumer Self-Care, FMCG industry):
- 5+ years of experience in Demand Planning
- 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain
- Experience in people management
- Fluency in German and English
- Master's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in relevant software, such as Microsoft Office, ERP, SAP IBP
