- Oversee the governance framework, harmonization of tools and concepts, and monitor climate change objectives.
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies in collaboration with relevant associations.
- Participate in working groups addressing the impacts of products on global sustainable development.
- Strengthen relationships with the downstream value chain and investors.
- Promote knowledge sharing and capacity-building efforts to elevate awareness and outcomes across value chains.
- Manage communication processes with all relevant stakeholders.
- Support all business units in alignment with long-term sustainability goals as per policy guidelines.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a degree in chemical, environmental, or materials engineering; PhD or MSc preferred.
- Postgraduate qualifications in sustainable development, MSc, or PhD are highly advantageous.
- Extensive experience in sustainability-related fields.
- Proven track record in business engagement within the industry or similar sectors.
- Expertise in informed decision-making using science-based methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing projects.
- Ability to independently seek knowledge and resources to address challenges.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret and summarize complex data.
- Flexibility to collaborate with colleagues across various time zones.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Portuguese and Spanish is beneficial.
- Experience within the industry is highly advantageous.
- Willingness to travel: 10-15% if based in Brazil; 30%-50% if based outside Brazil.
