Business Development Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development or Strategic Account Manager to join our team at LenioBio GmbH. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth by identifying opportunities to expand our presence with existing customers and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Account Management: Manage, nurture and expand relationships with key strategic accounts.
- Develop and Implement Account Strategies: Develop a deep understanding of customer and accounts business needs and objectives and relate this to the individual customer's goals.
- Serve as Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Identify and Pursue Opportunities: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand services and solutions within existing accounts.
- Collaborate with Sales Team: Collaborate with the sales team to develop account strategies and achieve sales targets.
- Closing Deals: Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to drive revenue growth.
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Regular Meetings: Conduct regular customer meetings to review performance, address concerns, and explore new opportunities.
- Trusted Advisor: Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing insights and recommendations to support their business objectives.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product development, application support) to ensure the successful delivery of solutions and services.
- Feedback and Insights: Provide feedback and insights to internal teams to improve products, services, and customer experience.
- Track and Analyze Performance: Track and analyze account performance metrics to ensure targets are met.
- Regular Reports: Prepare regular reports on account status, progress, and forecasts for senior management.
- CRM Software: Utilize CRM software to maintain accurate records of customer interactions and activities.
- Industry Experience: 10+ years' industry experience in Biotechnology or life science.
- Education: B.Sc. in molecular biology, biochemistry or other related areas combined with business, finance, marketing. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
- Customer Focus: Strong customer focus, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction and maintaining a customer-first mentality.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to develop and implement effective account strategies that align with business goals and business models that will secure larger deals or commitment from customers.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, articulating ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Travel: Open to travel 30% of your time.
