About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to lead our Low-Level Radio Frequency (LLRF) research and development effort. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and operating state-of-the-art resonance controls for narrow bandwidth superconducting cavities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the LLRF research team in designing and optimizing resonance controls for superconducting cavities
  • Supervise postdoctoral researchers and PhD students working on LLRF-related projects
  • Collaborate with industrial partners to develop efficient high-power sources
  • Plan and organize LLRF tests at cryomodule test facilities and user facilities
  • Report on research progress and results at internal and external meetings
  • Integrate new research findings into the existing LLRF system
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • PhD degree and/or several years of experience in an accelerator research facility
  • Expertise in control systems, feedback controller designs, and optimization
  • Strong motivation and pragmatism towards problem-solving and teamwork
  • Highly proficient English skills
