Offshore Service Operations Coordinator

Join our dynamic team in offshore operations, primarily stationed on our Service Operation Vessel (SOV) dedicated to the Offshore Wind Farm Deutsche Bucht, featuring state-of-the-art wind turbines with 8.4 MW capacity each.
In this pivotal role within our Service team, you will have opportunities for temporary assignments at various Offshore wind farms for training, education, and experience sharing.

Your foundation is your technical expertise as a Service Technician:

  • Ensuring seamless operation of our turbines and proficient use of our systems.
  • Conducting maintenance and repairs on both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Performing troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Executing a variety of inspections, repairs, and replacements of turbine components.

Additionally, you will oversee and coordinate service operations on-site in collaboration with the Offshore Service Supervisor, which includes:

  • Planning and coordinating daily service tasks.
  • Organizing vessel and O&M team transfers.
  • Monitoring weather conditions.
  • Preparing transfer plans and daily reports.
  • Creating and managing work orders in SAP and approving technician hours.
  • Maintaining and updating the planning board.
  • Assisting in the implementation of new procedures and processes.
  • Planning annual service and maintenance schedules.
  • Contributing to the Monthly Customer Report.
  • Ensuring the implementation of upgrades.
  • Collaborating with customer representatives to guarantee high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Leading and being part of the offshore engineering team.
  • Identifying and rectifying faults in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Completing scheduled services on wind turbines.
  • Adhering to Vestas' Health and Safety Management system.
  • Providing general support to the Service Manager.

Your qualifications include:

  • A completed apprenticeship as an electrician, electrical technician, or mechatronics engineer (EFK appointment possible).
  • Experience in the wind and/or offshore industry is preferred.
  • Leadership experience and familiarity with medium or high voltage systems is advantageous.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and German.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
