Offshore Service Operations Deputy

Position Overview:
Join our dynamic team as an Offshore Service Operations Deputy, where you will play a pivotal role in the management of our Service Operation Vessel (SOV) for the Offshore Wind Farm Deutsche Bucht, featuring 31 x V164 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 8.4 MW.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure seamless operation of wind turbines and efficient utilization of our systems.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Execute a variety of inspections, repairs, and component replacements on turbines.
In this role, you will also:
  • Plan and coordinate daily service tasks in collaboration with the Offshore Service Supervisor.
  • Organize transfers for the vessel and O&M team.
  • Monitor and assess weather conditions.
  • Prepare transfer plans and daily operational reports.
  • Create and manage work orders in SAP, approving technician hours.
  • Maintain and update the planning board.
  • Assist in the implementation of new procedures and processes.
  • Plan annual service and maintenance schedules.
  • Contribute to the Monthly Customer Report.
  • Ensure the execution of upgrades.
  • Collaborate with customer representatives to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and support the offshore engineering team.
  • Identify and rectify faults in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Complete scheduled maintenance on wind turbines.
  • Adhere to Vestas' Health and Safety Management system.
  • Provide general support to the Service Manager.

Qualifications:
  • Completed training as an electrician, electrical technician, or mechatronics engineer (EFK appointment is possible).
  • Experience in the wind and/or offshore industry is preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience and familiarity with medium or high voltage systems is advantageous.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and German.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
