As a member of Danaher’s Life Sciences division, Leica Microsystems plays a crucial role in advancing the discovery, development, and delivery of solutions that enhance human health.

We are currently seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst – Research & Development (d/f/m) to join our Global Innovation FP&A Team at our headquarters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analyses for the global R&D organization, including project costs, capital expenditures, and personnel cost planning.
  • Assist the R&D organization with monthly forecasting and the annual budgeting process.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop business plans for new product initiatives.
  • Support the financial aspects of subsidy and R&D grant applications with external entities.
  • Continuously enhance reporting and planning processes to facilitate efficient decision-making within the R&D organization, driving growth and return on investment.
Your Profile
  • University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Finance or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in FP&A or controlling within a manufacturing and R&D environment, preferably with project cost management experience.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and business acumen to navigate complex product portfolios and life cycles.
  • Proficient technical skills in creating consistent reporting and modeling using Power BI and Excel, with the ability to adapt to future developments in the BI landscape; experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Customer-oriented, with structured thinking and a keen awareness of deadlines.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
