The position is integral to Wolt Market, our proprietary grocery service accessible through the Wolt application. We prioritize exceptional customer service and rapid delivery, allowing users to conveniently order groceries for swift home delivery. Our mission is to redefine grocery shopping by focusing on customer needs and operational efficiency.
The Wolt Market Commercial Finance team is distinguished by its commitment to service excellence. We strive to foster effective communication across the organization, minimizing obstacles and enhancing operational speed.
As we innovate our vendor payment and accounting processes, we seek a motivated individual with a strong commercial and financial acumen to oversee vendor payments comprehensively. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within the Wolt Market team.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Responsibilities:
- Determine the product assortment for each grocery outlet and collaborate with vendors and supply chain teams to implement strategic initiatives.
- Negotiate effectively with suppliers to align on mutual objectives, optimize cost structures, and sustainably enhance profitability.
- Oversee the complete vendor payment process, including Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) strategies to ensure precise financial reporting and timely supplier payments.
Financial Responsibilities:
- Act as Wolt's representative in vendor invoicing and payment discussions.
- Collaborate closely with the central accounts payable and inventory teams to meet payment service level agreements (SLAs) and enhance the efficiency of vendor payments.
- Manage vendor communications regarding invoicing, ensuring adherence to Wolt's guidelines for prompt and accurate payments.
- Conduct thorough analyses to monitor the three-way matching process (orders, receipts, and invoices) and resolve any discrepancies with vendors.
- Work alongside technology teams to refine and automate the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
- Maintain strong internal relationships to swiftly address any financial or invoicing challenges.
Qualifications
- 1.5-3 years of experience in a role involving commercial, financial, or supply chain responsibilities.
- Preferred background in grocery retail or related fields such as key account management, finance, or supply chain.
- Proven ability to solve problems independently in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with finance and accounts payable processes; knowledge of NetSuite is a plus.
- Ability to balance hands-on tasks with broader project initiatives.
- Proficient in MS Excel (including Vlookups, pivot tables, and formulas).
- Fluent in both German and English, spoken and written.
- Eligible to work within the EU.
