About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our EMEA New Business Team as a Global Client Lead. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a strong understanding of the media and communications industry, as well as excellent business development and client relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and further improve our highly successful EMEA new business performance
  • Deliver a pitch-winning total proposition for clients – media planning and buying, commercial, service model
  • Mobilise the best talent in the network to deliver as a team
  • Win pitches profitably, delivering to dentsu Media EMEA strategy, optimising competitiveness, margin and future growth potential for all service lines
What You'll Be Doing
  • Immersing yourself and your team in clients' businesses: understanding their challenges, objectives, external economic environment, markets they operate in, competitive threats and relevant partner agencies; understanding their business model, how it is performing and what success looks like; knowing clients' products inside out and applying this knowledge to deliver innovative, ambitious plans and service
  • Delivering innovative and ambitious strategic and commercial solutions that balance client and agency values working closely with colleagues and clients
  • Building strong relationships as a trusted advisor with senior client and industry stakeholders, positioning dentsu as a centre of excellence for marketing services
  • Leading pitch teams, mobilising the best talent across the EMEA network, ensuring that every part of the team in every market delivers pitch-winning work, working closely with local market teams across EMEA and global teams where relevant
What You'll Bring
  • An outstanding track record of managing senior client relationships independently
  • Highly commercial - selling value, negotiation, client relationship management skills, being a trusted business advisor
  • Exceptional ability to mobilise and motivate talent quickly, building teams to deliver winning work in short timeframes
  • Experienced business development and client service leader, a skilled negotiator with a proven track record of increasing client portfolios and driving revenue
  • Proven experience in identifying, pitching, negotiating, closing and renewing deals of all types
  • An influencer, able to communicate effectively at all levels of the company and with the ability to flex communication style and approach depending on the audience and outcomes required
  • Excellent listener
  • Ability to manage and coach matrix teams
  • Team player, high levels of drive and ambition – you need to love the thrill of the chase and have a strong desire to win every project
  • Thinking and doing – the ability to come up with big ideas and to be happy completing detailed commercial submissions
  • You thrive under pressure and excel in meeting short deadlines
  • Diplomatic, able to develop strong relationships with key network stakeholders at all levels within the business and externally
  • European languages desirable, but not essential
