Bid and Tender Specialist

Your Responsibilities:

  • Crafting and developing proposal strategies for engineering initiatives within the offshore wind energy sector.
  • Establishing technical bidding approaches, overseeing the tender lifecycle, and ensuring compliance with timelines.
  • Conducting technical evaluations and drafting proposal documentation in partnership with the engineering team.
  • Engaging with various internal departments such as Engineering, QHSE, Operations, Recruiting, and Controlling, as well as external collaborators like legal advisors, subcontractors, and bidding partners to assemble comprehensive technical proposals and financial offers.
  • Calculating technical specifications and formulating project budgets.
  • Identifying technical prospects and challenges throughout the bidding process and initiating necessary corrective measures.
  • Enhancing technical methodologies and proposals to maintain competitive advantage during the bidding phase.
  • Reviewing and refining technical documents from clients or internal teams, and coordinating the development of these materials.
  • Monitoring tender platforms to uncover technical business prospects.

Your Qualifications:

  • A degree in engineering, ideally with a specialization in offshore, renewable energy, or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in tender management, preferably within the offshore wind sector.
  • A proven history of generating intricate technical calculations and project budgets.
  • Expertise in assessing and interpreting technical client proposals.
  • Experience in formulating technical proposal strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Meticulous attention to technical details and a methodical work ethic.
  • Capability to adhere to technical deadlines under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
  • Skill in deriving and organizing technical work packages for stakeholders based on client proposals or inquiries.
  • A commitment to the continuous enhancement of technical processes and proposals to ensure optimal competitiveness during the bidding phase.
  • A collaborative mindset with effective teamwork skills, engaging both internal and external partners.
