Design Assistant

Purpose & Overall Significance for the Organization:

Support the Design department in crafting market-appropriate products for the adidas brand as part of a global design team in collaboration with marketing and development.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Implement the creative vision across a product line for the designated category.
  • Generate innovative solutions for individual product designs.
  • Engage in the creative process and work towards established objectives and defined design languages and strategies.
  • Deliver design outputs in alignment with the visual identity of adidas and adhere to Corporate Identity guidelines as per legal requirements.
  • Clearly articulate product concepts and details in small group discussions and team meetings.
  • Facilitate an effective workflow and communication between design, marketing, and development regarding all aspects of product ranges.
  • Assist product management and development teams with all matters related to the execution of products and collections.
  • Visualize product and range ideas with precision.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of fashion products and design principles in both fashion and industrial contexts.
  • Strong communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Exceptional creativity.
  • Genuine passion for design.
  • Proficiency in Macintosh design software/systems (Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Fluency in English (both spoken and written).

Required Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma, BA, or MA in Design from an accredited institution.
  • Preferably possess practical experience in a design setting.
