3D Design Assistant

Assistant 3D Designer - Sportswear APP (m/f/d)

This role will assist the design team to create market-right products for the adidas brand as part of an international design team in cooperation with marketing and product development, and support the digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and execute design work according to the visual language of adidas and given Corporate Identity guidelines.
  • Develop creative solutions and concepts within the assigned category or specialty area or project with digital in the lead. Present designs digitally in context to the category direction.
  • Support the achievement of digital targets by assisting designers in the creation of digital assets as needed and feeding back opportunities to drive efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Clearly present product ideas and details during team meetings and range reviews aligned with content direction from marketing.
  • Ensure efficient process and communication flow between design, marketing, and development for all issues regarding designed ranges and products.
  • Implement the creative vision in a product range for the category.
  • Self-manage own creative process and execute towards given design languages within a small category.
  • Support the efficient process and communication flow between design, marketing, and development for all issues regarding designed small ranges of assigned products.
  • Ensure proper handover of 3D images/digital design pack into development. Main duty is to submit all relevant information needed for the development process to start.
  • Visualize ideas for products and ranges in 3D with a high degree of expertise.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Creative and energetic personality, able to influence the agenda
  • Decisive, taking ownership of own project modules and contributing to those identified
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Experience in working with creative design teams (Apparel or Footwear)
  • Strong knowledge of fashion design/industrial product or industrial design
  • Good knowledge of product development, material, and trims for assigned product range
  • High understanding of pattern knowledge
  • Passion for Design and high level of creativity
  • Contribute to a team culture in which corporate values are lived daily, supporting the creation of a highly motivated and diverse team with a can-do attitude
  • Expert knowledge in 3D design tools and technology across either Footwear or Apparel (e.g., FTW: Rhino, Modo/ Mojo, Blender; : CLO3D, Browswear, V Stitcher) Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint
  • Foster a team culture in which adidas values are lived daily, creating a highly motivated and diverse team with a can-do attitude
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and written

Requisite Education and Experience/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Footwear, Fashion Design, or related field, or a combination of relevant experience and education
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as 3D Designer, Footwear or Apparel, focusing on 3D Design and the Digital Transformation in Product Creation within Apparel or Footwear industries
