Regional Maintenance and Engineering Reliability Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Manager to oversee our operations at Amazon EU SARL (Germany Branch) - D70.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of RME Area Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to guarantee the reliability and functionality of our systems and equipment across various sites.
  • As a pivotal member of the RME team, ensure that our systems operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal interruptions.
  • Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance equipment performance and minimize operational costs.

  • Proven experience in managing maintenance operations within an industrial or manufacturing setting.

  • Exceptional leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Team Development: You will be instrumental in establishing high-performance standards within your team, supported by clear objectives for each member.

Site Engagement: Frequent visits to operational sites will be necessary to foster relationships with onsite teams, while maintaining flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Overseeing the maintenance program for all equipment, including the development of preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Identifying and resolving equipment failures, implementing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Managing departmental budgets to ensure resource efficiency and alignment with operational goals.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and safety regulations.
  • Regularly updating senior management and stakeholders on maintenance activities and performance metrics.
  • Participating in the design and implementation of new systems, focusing on reliability and maintainability.
  • Leading regional initiatives and collaborating with other sites to share best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in managing technical teams in industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance management software and systems.
  • Fluency in both German and English, with excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or an MBA from a recognized institution.
  • Experience in high-volume production environments and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with robotics and automation systems.
