The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of success in managing maintenance operations within an industrial or manufacturing setting, coupled with a strong commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
In this role, you will demonstrate strategic thinking, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a creative approach to resolving complex challenges.
As a regional RME Operations Leader, you will exhibit a high degree of technical proficiency, senior leadership acumen, and strategic insight to effectively manage a cluster of sites.
This position will emphasize standardization initiatives across the sites to ensure uniformity and efficiency.
You will serve as a role model, setting high performance standards within your team, supported by SMART goals for each team member.
A strong and engaging people manager, you will recognize that success is achieved when the team is fully aligned on shared objectives, with success measured by both internal and external customer satisfaction.
This role will necessitate regular site visits to foster and maintain relationships with onsite teams, while also allowing for flexible working hours.
- Lead and develop a team of managers, maintenance technicians, and engineers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and systems.
- Manage the maintenance program for all equipment and systems, including the creation of preventative maintenance plans and schedules.
- Identify and resolve equipment and system failures, developing root cause analysis plans to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance equipment and system reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize performance.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring efficient resource utilization to meet operational and financial objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Communicate regularly with regional leadership, senior management, and stakeholders to provide updates on roadmaps, equipment performance, maintenance activities, and improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new equipment and systems, providing insights on reliability and maintainability requirements.
- Lead regional programs and initiatives, collaborating with other sites and teams across the region to identify and share best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Several years of experience managing a maintenance, service, or technical team in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience with reliability-centered maintenance practices and techniques.
- Experience with maintenance management software and systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with senior-level management.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the capability to leverage data for decision-making.
- Fluency in German and English (verbal and written).
- Master's degree in Engineering or a related field, or an MBA from a top-tier business school.
- Experience in a leadership role within a high-volume production environment.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment focused on meeting customer needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with robotics and automation systems.
- Experience managing maintenance operations across multiple sites.
