We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Manager to oversee our operations at Amazon EU SARL (Germany Branch) - D70.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of RME Area Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to guarantee the reliability and functionality of our equipment and systems.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment across multiple sites within our German transportation network.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies and schedules to enhance equipment performance.
- Conduct thorough root cause analyses to address equipment failures and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to boost equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Manage departmental budgets effectively, ensuring resource optimization to meet operational and financial objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Regularly communicate with senior management and stakeholders regarding equipment performance and maintenance initiatives.
- Participate in the introduction of new equipment and systems, focusing on reliability and maintainability.
- Lead regional initiatives, sharing best practices across sites to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in managing maintenance or technical teams within an industrial or manufacturing context.
- Proven expertise in reliability-centered maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Excellent project management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, particularly with senior management.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and lead high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical skills, utilizing data to inform decision-making.
- Fluency in both German and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering or an MBA from a reputable institution.
- Experience in leadership roles within high-volume production settings.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in fast-paced environments with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with automation and robotics systems.
- Experience managing maintenance operations across multiple locations.
- Understanding of German labor laws and regulations.
