Finance Intern for Business Controlling in Germany

Key Responsibilities

  • As a part of the German Business Controlling team, you will assist colleagues in delivering financial insights to the management of the Packaged Gases Business unit.
  • Your role will involve specific tasks related to reporting, forecasting, planning, and product cost assessment.
  • The responsibilities you undertake will enhance your understanding of our industrial gases sector and necessitate collaboration with various business stakeholders.
  • Moreover, you will manage specific work packages within business controlling initiatives aimed at refining financial processes, monthly closing tasks, or enhancing master data quality.
  • Your duties within the Finance Systems & Process department for Europe West will include supporting data analysis, aiding in financial system rollouts, and overseeing project management for selected initiatives.
  • This position will provide you with a comprehensive view of the Finance organization and the structure of extensive financial projects.

Qualifications

  • Commit to a minimum of six months to acquire in-depth knowledge of our Finance & Controlling department.
  • We are looking for third-year bachelor students or master students in business administration, finance, accounting, or related fields.
  • Prior experience through internships or working student roles during your studies is preferred.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential, and proficiency in German is advantageous.
  • Leverage your analytical thinking, data management skills, and ability to present structured narratives based on your findings.
  • Thriving in a dynamic team environment and collaborating with finance stakeholders and other business functions is crucial.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required, and enthusiasm for developing skills in Power Query, Pivot, VBA, and SAP is expected.
  • A willingness to learn about the industrial gases sector on-the-job and a strong interest in advancing your career in finance & controlling are essential.
