About Us
Submariner Network for Blue Growth EEIG is a consultancy dedicated to the management of international projects, primarily supported by the European Commission. Our focus is on initiatives that promote the sustainable utilization of marine resources. We serve as the permanent secretariat for the SUBMARINER Network and coordinate the EU Mission Ocean in the Baltic and North Sea, acting as a collaborative platform for stakeholders in the region and beyond.

Our Portfolio
With a robust portfolio of over 25 large-scale initiatives, we collaborate with a diverse network of reliable partners across Europe, including research institutions, industry leaders, NGOs, and governmental bodies. Our team consists of 35 professionals from various academic disciplines and over 15 nationalities.

Role Overview
The Business Support and Policy Team is committed to assisting startups in accessing the knowledge and resources necessary to bring their innovative solutions to market. We create educational materials and facilitate information exchange to encourage collaborative efforts that advance the sustainable development of blue bioresources. Our accelerator program provides startups and SMEs with mentoring, networking opportunities, and knowledge sharing. Additionally, we manage BlueBioMatch, a platform designed to connect technology seekers and providers, enabling collaboration and growth in the blue bioeconomy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and executing communication and dissemination strategies for EU-funded projects across various sectors, including business support, marine policy, blue innovation, and maritime logistics.
  • Organizing and participating in meetings and events, both in-person and online, while overseeing logistics and technical support as needed.
  • Transforming reports and project materials into accessible articles, presentations, and multimedia content for diverse media channels.
  • Designing and optimizing the content and visual presentation of our websites, social media platforms, and other communication materials.
  • Facilitating communication and community engagement on BlueBioMatch, our platform for innovators, researchers, businesses, and NGOs passionate about marine conservation.
  • Ensuring alignment of project communications with the overarching company communication strategy.
Qualifications
  • A relevant university degree.
  • 2-3 years of experience in project communications, preferably within EU projects or related sectors.
  • Proficient in English with strong writing skills; additional languages, particularly advanced German, are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project communications and management, with strong verbal communication abilities.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CMS (especially WordPress), and collaboration tools (e.g., Miro, Airtable), capable of creating engaging digital content using tools like Canva and InDesign.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe for project meetings and events.
