Lead Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports in compliance with IFRS for designated entities within the EagleBurgmann Group, and assist in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).
- Record monthly provisions and accruals, along with other items pertinent to the financial statements.
- Conduct ongoing tax audits on incoming and outgoing invoices, perform routine tax assessments, and evaluate VAT implications within our supply chains.
- Compile advance VAT returns and annual tax submissions, as well as summary and statistical reports.
- Act as the primary contact for specific accounting and procedural inquiries, maintaining regular communication with our global subsidiaries.
- Ensure that process documentation and internal controls in your area of responsibility are consistently updated.
- As a subject matter expert in the Record-to-Report domain, continuously enhance existing processes and tools, and oversee projects within your area of expertise.
Qualifications
- Extensive professional experience in General Ledger Accounting, with a background in supporting or independently managing accounting-related projects.
- Proficient in SAP (FI/CO), preferably with experience in SAP S/4 HANA.
- Strong grasp of operational accounting processes, particularly in the Record-to-Report area.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously.
- Structured, solution-oriented, and dependable work approach.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in both written and spoken German and English.
