Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at EagleBurgmann. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly reports in accordance with IFRS for selected companies of the EagleBurgmann Group.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports in accordance with IFRS for selected companies of the EagleBurgmann Group.
  • Support the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).
  • Post monthly/ongoing provisions and accruals as well as other matters relevant to the financial statements.
  • Perform ongoing tax controls on incoming and outgoing invoices, ongoing routine tax checks and the VAT assessment of our supply chains.
  • Prepare advance VAT returns and annual returns, as well as summary and statistical reports.
  • Act as the contact person for selected accounting and procedural issues and be in regular contact with our subsidiaries worldwide.
  • Keep process documentation and internal controls in your area of responsibility up to date on an ongoing basis.
  • As a process expert for the Record-to-Report area, you will continuously develop existing processes and tools and be responsible for projects in your area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in General Ledger Accounting, ideally you have already supported accounting-related projects or even managed them independently.
  • Very good SAP (FI/CO) knowledge - ideally SAP S/4 HANA.
  • You have a strong understanding of operational accounting processes, especially in the area of Record-to-Report.
  • Independent and autonomous way of working.
  • Structured, solution-oriented and reliable way of working.
  • Very good knowledge of the MS Office tools Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
