Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at EagleBurgmann. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, managing accounting processes, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and HGB regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for selected companies of the EagleBurgmann Group, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with HGB, working closely with the finance team.
  • Post monthly/ongoing provisions and accruals, as well as other matters relevant to the financial statements.
  • Conduct ongoing tax controls on incoming and outgoing invoices, routine tax checks, and VAT assessments of our supply chains.
  • Prepare advance VAT returns and annual returns, as well as summary and statistical reports.
  • Serve as the primary contact for accounting and procedural issues, maintaining regular communication with our subsidiaries worldwide.
  • Keep process documentation and internal controls up to date, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • As a process expert for the Record-to-Report area, continuously develop existing processes and tools, and lead projects in your area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in General Ledger Accounting, preferably with experience in accounting-related projects or project management.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP (FI/CO), ideally SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Deep understanding of operational accounting processes, particularly in the Record-to-Report area.
  • Independent and autonomous work style, with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English.
