Procurement Manager Rail Transport Germany

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join our team in Germany, responsible for procurement organization and activities at regional level within the spend of Germany. The successful candidate will work closely with internal customers in sites across the cluster to ensure effective strategic procurement and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase of transport by rail for all types of goods from German plants, including strategy, negotiation, reports for approval, contract formalization, training of users, follow-up, and continuous improvement.
- Support other buyers in charge of other perimeters for deliveries to Germany or crossing Germany from other countries.
- Key account manager for DB Cargo.
- Participate in the development of new solutions (technical or commercial).
- Support transversal tasks of the team.
Your Profile:
- You hold a Master's degree in Engineering, Purchasing, or Supply Chain.
- You speak fluently German and English, with any additional European language appreciated.
- You have a successful track record in Procurement (minimum 5 years).
- You possess problem-solving and analytical skills, with a good ease facing numbers.
- You have a good technical knowledge of contracts and targeted systems, as well as project management and negotiation.
- You combine a strong personality/leadership and communication skills with an appetite for finding information on innovative industry trends and market analysis.
- You are result and customer-oriented, able to work under deadline pressure and manage change.
