Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Procurement Manager to lead our procurement activities and oversee aerospace-related projects within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, leading a procurement team, and managing supplier relationships to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives
  • Lead a procurement team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish mutually beneficial relationships
  • Monitor supplier performance, manage vendor relationships, and implement improvement plans as needed
  • Ensure procurement activities adhere to budgetary constraints while maintaining quality standards
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to optimize procurement processes
  • Manage aerospace projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure project milestones are achieved
  • Coordinate the allocation of resources, monitor project progress, and address any issues that arise
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects meet all necessary requirements
  • Identify opportunities to enhance procurement processes, such as implementing e-procurement systems or adopting sustainable sourcing practices
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize aerospace project workflows, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality control measures in both procurement and aerospace activities
  • Implement and maintain relevant certifications and accreditations required for aerospace projects

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience managing a Procurement team
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Aerospace Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
  • Proven experience in procurement management, supplier relationship management, and aerospace project management
  • Strong understanding of aerospace industry regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems
  • Familiarity with relevant software tools and systems for procurement and project management
