Director of IT Support Services

Position Overview:
The Director of IT Support Services is accountable for overseeing the IT procurement and project management functions within Ariceum Therapeutics GmbH.
This role involves supervising the selection, negotiation, and performance assessment of IT vendors, alongside the planning, execution, and oversight of IT initiatives.
The Director will ensure that IT solutions align with business requirements and adhere to the regulatory standards pertinent to the pharmaceutical sector.
Main Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute IT procurement strategies and policies aimed at optimizing IT expenditures while ensuring the quality and dependability of IT vendors.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis, benchmarking, and vendor assessments to identify and engage the most suitable IT providers for the organization.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, service level agreements, and key performance indicators with IT vendors.
- Monitor and assess vendor performance, addressing any issues or disputes that may arise.
- Establish and nurture effective relationships with IT vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate IT project teams, ensuring that IT initiatives are in alignment with business goals and priorities.
- Define and manage the scope, timeline, budget, and quality of IT projects.
- Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies associated with IT projects.
- Communicate and report on the status, progress, and outcomes of IT projects to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance of IT solutions with regulatory requirements and standards in the pharmaceutical industry, including ERP systems, data security, GxP, HIPAA, or GDPR.
- Provide guidance and support to IT personnel and external service providers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT procurement and project management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of IT procurement methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating and managing contracts and service level agreements with IT vendors.
- Exceptional project management capabilities with experience in leading and delivering complex IT projects.
- Familiarity with IT project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Understanding of IT solutions and technologies utilized in the pharmaceutical industry, including ERP, CRM, LIMS, or MES.
- Awareness of regulatory requirements and standards in the pharmaceutical sector, such as ERP systems, data security, GxP, HIPAA, or GDPR.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in English and German is essential.
