Business Development Manager for Exit Strategy

The ideal candidate will possess a background in working with entrepreneurs and a solid history of creating new business opportunities. We seek an individual who is enthusiastic about entrepreneurship and comprehends the distinct challenges faced by SMEs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a network and assist local Marktlink subsidiaries in attracting entrepreneurs for Exit Ready projects and/or sales processes;
  • Engage entrepreneurs for Exit Ready initiatives; our specialized consultancy program aimed at optimizing businesses for sale readiness and maximizing sale valuations;
  • Actively reach out (via phone) to SME entrepreneurs, initiating meaningful discussions about business growth and preparation for sale;
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Team to strategically consider the international expansion of Marktlink and Exit Ready;
  • Guide entrepreneurs in planning their future and provide support during the final stages of their entrepreneurial journey;
  • Commit to continuous improvement, personal development, and accurate documentation of conversations.
Candidate Profile
  • Experienced professionals with a strong background in working with entrepreneurs and the German SME network are encouraged to apply;
  • Experience with established entrepreneurs is essential;
  • Exceptional communication skills are required to engage in meaningful dialogues with German entrepreneurs;
  • A genuine passion for entrepreneurship and a commitment to ongoing business development are necessary;
  • Fluency in German and familiarity with the German business landscape are mandatory;
  • A comprehensive understanding of German business culture is crucial;
  • A proven track record in business development is expected;
  • Availability for 4-5 days a week is required;
  • Willingness to travel frequently is essential;
  • A proactive self-starter who can work independently as well as collaboratively.
