About the Role

At Marktlink, we're seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to join our team and drive the expansion of our business into the German market. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building a network of entrepreneurs and supporting our local subsidiaries in attracting businesses to engage in an Exit Ready project and/or sale process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Development: Establish and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs and SMEs in the German market, identifying opportunities for Exit Ready projects and sales.
  • Recruitment: Proactively seek out and recruit entrepreneurs for Exit Ready projects, utilizing your expertise in business development and sales.
  • Business Engagement: Engage with SME-entrepreneurs in meaningful conversations about business growth and preparation for sale, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our Business Development Team to develop strategic plans for international growth and expansion.
  • Entrepreneur Support: Help entrepreneurs plan their future and provide guidance during the final phase of their business journey.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve and develop your business skills, as well as record conversations accurately.
Requirements
  • Experience: Seasoned candidates with extensive experience working with entrepreneurs and the German SME network are encouraged to apply.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage in meaningful conversations with German entrepreneurs and speak their 'language'.
  • Passion for Entrepreneurship: A passion for entrepreneurship and a willingness to continuously improve and develop business skills.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in German and a German 'background'.
  • Business Culture: Full understanding and experience with the German business culture.
  • Business Development Track Record: A proven business development track record.
  • Availability: Available for 4-5 days a week.
  • Travel: Willing to travel extensively and be on the road.
  • Self-Starter: Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
