Category Manager GPSP: Strategic Procurement Expert

About the Role
Olympus is seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to lead the procurement strategy for our GPSP products. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for defining and implementing global category strategies to drive business growth and improve supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs
- Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best-in-class pricing and service
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
- Lead supplier relationship management initiatives to drive supplier performance and development
- Monitor and analyze market trends to inform category strategies and drive business growth
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in category management or a related field
- Proven track record of leading and participating in cross-functional teams and driving project initiatives
- Experience in developing and implementing category strategies and managing supplier relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly establish priorities and drive results
- Fluency in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
