Strategic Procurement Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at Olympus, responsible for identifying strategic procurement activities in the Professional Services area and leveraging existing supplier and contract portfolios to drive value creation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new requirements and projects, ensuring alignment with internal and external customer needs.
  • Analyze expenditure data for assigned categories to develop sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct procurement processes, including tendering and supplier selection.
  • Negotiate competitive prices and service contracts in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage and foster strategic supplier relationships.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on quality aspects.
  • Contribute to annual procurement KPI goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Procurement or similar education with additional professional development and experience.
  • Several years of experience in a strategic procurement department in a comparable position, including experience in conducting procurement projects and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP and MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Distinguished intercultural competence and strong conflict resolution, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Analytical, conceptual, and methodical skills.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Solution-oriented personality with a hands-on approach.
  • A true team player with a willingness to take on responsibility.
  • Able to establish trustworthy relationships within multiple functions and with leadership.
