Job Title: Strategic Category Manager IT

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Category Manager IT to join our Procurement team in Munich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the processing of purchasing processes in direct purchasing with a focus on project-specific IT hardware and software, related licenses and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate purchase and service contracts, including legal expertise, based on your product group strategy and project requirements.
  • Develop and implement measures and projects to reduce and avoid costs in the infeed and together with the users.
  • Participate in and take over procurement processes in projects (matrix procurement) and prepare commercial and technical evaluations of offers with award proposals.
  • Monitor supplier performance and take effective measures in the event of any deviations, including the processing of recourse.
  • Act as IT interface manager for the group of companies and take on projects for digitization 4.0 in purchasing.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in international (project) procurement in the area of IT hardware and software, licenses and services.
  • High level of expertise in procurement processes and methods as well as negotiating and persuasive skills.
  • Fluent business English and intercultural sensitivity.
  • Knowledge of contract management and -law.
  • Proactive, pragmatic and structured working style, as well as distinctive team orientation, commitment and a high degree of self-motivation.
  • Experience in using MS Office and in-depth knowledge of SAP MM, ideally S/4 HANA and SRM tools and Power BI.
