About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic IT Category Manager to join our team at Veridos GmbH. As a key member of our Procurement department, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing processes for IT hardware and software, related licenses and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing and product group strategies to optimize costs and improve supplier relationships.
- Negotiate purchase and service contracts, leveraging your expertise in procurement processes and methods.
- Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action as needed, including processing recourse.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive digitization initiatives and improve procurement processes.
- Prepare and present commercial and technical evaluations of offers, including award proposals.
- Develop and maintain purchasing dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in international (project) procurement for IT hardware and software, licenses and services.
- Proven expertise in procurement processes and methods, with strong negotiating and persuasive skills.
- Fluent business English and intercultural sensitivity.
- Knowledge of contract management and law.
- Proactive, pragmatic, and structured working style, with a strong team orientation and high self-motivation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with SAP MM, S/4 HANA, and SRM tools, as well as Power BI.
