Your Responsibilities

As a software development student within our Strategic Frontrunner Projects Team, you will engage in pioneering projects that highlight the advantages of the SAP Business Technology Platform. Working under the guidance of an experienced developer, you will interact directly with clients and users to execute essential tasks, including requirements gathering, software design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

You will collaborate with a dynamic group of students with technical and design expertise to merge ideas and deliver real applications to actual users.

We seek a software engineering student who possesses a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle. You should be capable of contributing to a software development project at any phase to create an exceptional experience for end users.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled (f/m/d) in a university of applied sciences in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong foundational knowledge in computer science and software engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with source code management tools (e.g., git).
  • Experience in iOS App Development (Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit).
  • Understanding of UX principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AR/VR technologies is a plus (e.g., RealityKit, ARKit).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices is beneficial (e.g., Continuous Integration with Jenkins or Travis).
  • Experience in Game Design or 3D modeling is a plus.
  • Exposure to AI technologies is an advantage.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluent in German or English (both written and spoken).

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Enthusiastic about learning new technologies.
  • Hands-on, dependable, and open-minded approach.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Goal-oriented, capable of working independently, and adept at prioritizing tasks.

Work Experience:

  • This is an entry-level position, ideal for motivated development students seeking practical experience in software development.

About Your Team

The Strategic Projects team is a vibrant group at the core of the 'Business Technology Platform (BTP) Foundation Engineering' unit. We focus on innovative solutions for cross-BTP initiatives and enhancing BTP products and services. Our team collaborates with other SAP teams to fulfill our mission.
