Role Overview
As a software development intern within our Strategic Frontrunner Projects Team, you will engage in pioneering projects that highlight the advantages of the SAP Business Technology Platform. Working under the guidance of a senior developer, you will have the opportunity to interact directly with customers and users, undertaking essential tasks such as requirements gathering, software design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
You will collaborate with a dynamic group of fellow students who possess diverse tech and design backgrounds, merging ideas to deliver real applications to actual end users.
We seek a software engineering student with a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle. You should be prepared to contribute to a software development project at every phase, ensuring a high-quality experience for end users.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled (f/m/d) in a university of applied sciences, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Technical Skills:
Strong foundational knowledge in computer science and software engineering methodologies. Familiarity with source code management tools (e.g., git). Experience in iOS App Development (Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit). Understanding of UX principles and methodologies. Knowledge of REST and GraphQL APIs is advantageous. Experience with AR/VR technologies is a plus (e.g., RealityKit, ARKit). Familiarity with DevOps practices is beneficial (e.g., Continuous Integration using Jenkins or Travis). Background in Game Design or 3D modeling is a plus. Exposure to AI technologies is an advantage.Language Proficiency:
- Proficient in German or English (both written and spoken).

About the Team
The Strategic Projects team is a vibrant group at the core of the 'Business Technology Platform (BTP) Foundation Engineering' unit. We focus on innovative solutions for cross-BTP topics and enhancing BTP products and services. Our team prepares keynotes and provides expert insights on strategic BTP technology topics, collaborating with other SAP teams to achieve our objectives.
